Java Servlets

Servlets or Java Servlets is a technology developed by Sun Microsystems company (http://www.sun.com) which provide a method based on components and platform independent for the development of applications based on the Web, without the limitations of cgi programs. And without the extension mechanisms of proprietary server, servlets are also independent of the server. This gives the freedom for choosing server, platforms and development tools.
