RPM

The RedHat Package Manager (RPM) is a powerful tool of command line developed by the RedHat company (http://www.redhat.com), packages control manager system, able to install, uninstall, verify, consult and update software packages. Each software package consists of a set of files in a package with information about the package like its version, description, etc. There is also an API (Application Program Interface), that allows to the advanced programmers to pass these commands and to handle these transactions in a native language.
